you don't run it. e sets SUDO_ASKPASS (and SSH_ASKPASS) automatically. it's set
up ready to run. if you happen to have an app/tool/script that uses sudo/ssh
that e launches you should get the pasword dialog assuming sudo/ssh wants it.
there is nothing for you to do. you need to do zero.

check your environment vars.

Hah! Thanks...that's what I needed. The earlier version of the
instructions had a script that must have done this automatically, so I
missed knowing what it was and here to find it.

Hi,

I succeeded to install E21 from any Ubuntu desktop flavor following

I just built and installed this — apparently successfully and without
error — on a Dell XPS 15 under Ubuntu 17.04.

But when I reboot, there is no Enlightenment entry in the choice of
sessions. How do I add E so that it becomes a login option?

Hello Peter,

Did you copy the file '/usr/local/share/xsessions/enlightenment.desktop'
to the /usr/share/xsessions directory?

Hope this helps,

Eric

[e-users] E22 sudo/ssh askpass utility gui

2017-11-05 Thread Thierry B.

Hi,

I see this line in the E22 release notes:

- Added a sudo/ssh askpass utility gui

What is this and how to run it? I believed it was as as eSudo in "Bodhi
Linux" or a new policy kit agent? ( I use the gnome's one, as I failed
to build polkit-efl).
