Get-E (or Get Enlightened) is a site for Enlightenment DR17 (and the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries) that includes all sorts of user oriented docs aimed at helping users get started with E17. The site covers everything from installing E17 (cvs, debs, portage...) to getting themes and setting them up. The site also includes themes for E17, icon packs, Evidence themes, and much more. Although E17 is not supported yet, this site tries to answer most of the questions people could have about using it. [e-users] GNOME and KDE menu in DR17 for FC3/rpm-based distro users and for other distros
Dear rpm-based distro E fans! Thanks to Matthias Haase who packaged a special applications.tar.gz (/usr/share/enlightenment/data/other/applications.tar.gz) with over 100 eapp files corresponding to a a full FC3 Gnome/Kde apps installation, It's now straightforward to use Christopher Michael's e17genmenu program (http://sourceforge.net/projects/e17genmenu/) to generate in an instant your GNOME or KDE menu in DR17. I placed his tarball at http://sps.nus.edu.sg/~didierbe/share/applications.tar.gz for viewing and for those w/ other distros that wish to use it. It can also be used for ibar and engage. For those with rpm-based distro, I've already made the substitution with raster's original tarball in the latest enlightenment-0.16.999.005 in my repository. So you only need to use yum to install the "tweaked" E w/o adding anything! Christopher's Michael e17genmenu program in also in the repos thanks to Matthias again. A screenshot by Matthias is viewable at http://sps.nus.edu.sg/~didierbe/share/shot_e17-2005-04-16_2.png The great work is due to the hard work of the above mentionned dudes! ;-) Vive E! -- With kind regards, Didier. --- Didier F.B Casse | PhD candidate | LiMiNT Beamline Singapore Synchrotron Light Source (SSLS), 5 Research Link, Singapore 117603 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]| Web: http://ssls.nus.edu.sg | GPG Key 1024D/B3C57D01 2004-06-23 --- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
