lm_sensors still works as expected. No ACPI temp stuff here.

So, where does the module look for temperature info?
Here it is all in /sys/devices/platform/w83627hf.656/temp*

The sensors moved from /sys/bus/i2c/devices and there hasn't been a
patch made yet. That isn't a standard spot for temperatures either
as I have a /sys/devices/platform/coretemp.X/ and no files in that
directory show the current temp, with lm_sensors working properly.

I guess coretemp is for Intel Core precessors:

Symbol: SENSORS_CORETEMP [=n]
Prompt: Intel Core (2) Duo/Solo temperature sensor
Depends on: HWMON X86 EXPERIMENTAL

The temperature module looks in a few different places for the
temperature. I'll be looking at it later today and making it more
robust as well as checking a patch for PowerBooks. May need to rethink
it's strategy.

One solution is to actually use libsensors and let them worry about
catching them all, but that violates the no more lib dependencies
rule of E17. An optional dependency may help though.

Hi there,

I wonder what could be the reason why the temperature module stopped

So, where does the module look for temperature info?
Here it is all in /sys/devices/platform/w83627hf.656/temp*

Thanks,
