Hello,
is there any plan to have texlive in EPEL 7?
I need it but wouldn't dare asking for the branch myself... looks
complicated and I don't have any direct experience with it.

The texlive package already exists in RHEL7. See

Ok, I found the issue. The texlive in EPEL 7 is too old and does not
contain the sub-packages I'm using
