[EPEL-devel] EPEL-ANNOUNCE python-psutil-2.2.1 in epel7

2016-01-21 Thread Ralph Bean
Hello all, python-psutil-2.2.1 has been in epel7-testing for over a month now, and I intend to push it to stable in the coming weeks. It is needed for the letsencrypt tools. There are a few small incompatibilities, but none of the dependencies that we found in EPEL7 itself would be affected.

[EPEL-devel] Necessity of some old RPM constructs in EL5

2016-01-21 Thread Jason L Tibbitts III
I'm now working on some magic macros for EPEL5. Currently (on my machine, at least) you can use %license and don't need BuildRoot:. I'm curious about some other boilerplate constructs, though. %defattr in %files: I've been told that even EPEL5 doesn't need this, but still it persists. Can
