Often the answer is yes.  It will not come out until the next point
release.  In this case 8.3.  Those come out every six months.
Depending on the bug, it's possible that it will come out in the .1
release.  In this case 8.2.1.  Those come out every three months.

If there is a new feature (blah can now use json for input) then it
usually waits until the point (8.3) release.  This gives it more
testing.
If it is a something minor update, then it can (but doesn't have to)
come out in the sub-point (8.2.1) release.

Sometimes if you ask on the bug when it is coming out, the developers
will respond.  But not always.  They often don't want to commit to a
certain release if it's possible it will not go in that release.  So
they might not reply.  But sometimes they do.
