I'd like to do some testing on my end before that happens to see if my setup will seamlessly handle that upgrade. Note that I didn't take maintenance of the nagios core package, but I have requested commit since some of the stuff in the plugins and NRPE will spill over into changes in core. I don't expect for EPEL 6 to ever make it to Nagios 3 because there isn't a seamless migration path, so pushing it into EPEL would violate update policies. I'm curious as to why. Feel to reply off list if you think this is too off-topic. On Wed, Nov 6, 2013 at 7:54 AM, Peter Lemenkov lemen...@gmail.com wrote: Hello All! Most notable packages are - the entire Erlang stack with dependent packages such as CouchDB, Ejabberd, RabbitMQ, Riak. I will continue maintaining Fedora branches of these packages btw. -- With best regards, Peter Lemenkov. ___ epel-devel mailing list epel-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/epel-devel ___ epel-devel mailing list epel-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/epel-devel

I actually just set this service up last week on a CentOS 6 server, and my co-workers are benefitting from the work that you've done to make it a smooth experience in EPEL. Unless you have a RHEL license, consider using Debian or Ubuntu LTS for that. They have a sane model of updating packages and picking up from testing branches. Also I'd recommend packages from the upstream vendor: http://www.process-one.net/en/ejabberd/archive/ Although they stopped building rpms but anyway their packages are more up-to-date and not very different from Fedora/EPEl ones (missing parts are systemd integration, polkit, preliminary kerberos support and few more - nothing really serious). -- With best regards, Peter Lemenkov. ___ epel-devel mailing list epel-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/epel-devel
