Uhh, can't read' could mean a number of things; it could be orthogonal to illiteracy. Think of all the pre-literate Mexican kids, using Linux in their schools, or blind persons, who cannot *see* to 'read' -- in this case there are other methods, like being read to (emacspeak or similar) as well
