If the modem has jumpers on it, then you're golden. Just "cat /proc/interrupts" and pick an empty IRQ to set it to. "cat /proc/ioports" will give you a list of used ioports, and you can use that to set up jumpers too. To see if the card is recognized and what IRQ it is set on in hardware, do "c

i just got a new modem from VOS today, its a PCI U.S. Robitics 56k Performance Pro Modem. on the box it says that it works with DOS, WINDOWS, and Linux. I put it in with the new Sound Blaster 16 that i bought with it and Mandrake 7.1 found the sound blaster and installed all the right drivers but
