I am finally getting around to disassembling the Leaf pack I picked up this summer. I understand the cells need to be held compressed while charging/discharging. My question is: Do the cells removed from a pack and allowed to "sit around" need to be mounted and compressed?

In planning for my new LEAF battery pack, I am a bit concerned about current load. With the config I have planned, I figure the max. current thru each string will be about 160a, probably limited to around 1-2 minutes. Normal semi-continuous current will be around 60a. Will this be a problem?
