I'm getting close to running a new motor in the 72 Vega.
It's a 11" GE BT2300 Interpole Motor. Rated for 240V, 9000 rpm.
As far as what I've found on these, the interpole windings are suppose to
prevent the armature and brushes from arcing due to build up of
