Choffin Career and Technical Center

Choffin Career and Technical Center is seeking a motivated and personable
individual with experience in the automotive industry, specifically,
electric/hybrid vehicles and also experience in collision repair to teach
this new and exciting program at Choffin Career Center. The person will help
develop students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities in mechanical repairs,
integrated electronic systems, collision repair, computer skills, hand
tools, engineering theory and technical studies. The person must be an
effective classroom teacher and an excellent communicator who can work
effectively with students to achieve their full potential. The instructor
will be responsible for preparing students to be competent electric/hybrid
vehicle technicians, with some knowledge and focus on collision repair. The
person must have a collaborative mindset to work with multiple building
staff to create opportunities for the student and building. The person must
possess or be eligible for a valid Career Tech license and must have at
least five years full time work experience in the automotive industry in
this related field. A valid driver’s license with full insurance coverage
and ability to make regular site visits. Excellent benefits. Must be willing
to take coursework through Kent State University to obtain Career Tech
license if not already possessed.
