[EVDL] Need Help with DMOC-224 and AC-24

2017-11-26 Thread Mike Scott via EV
Specifically, the interface/filter board mounted between the motor sensors
and the controller. Close examination showed that smoke got out of (at
least) one of the IC's, and it is now unidentifiable. I think I've found
one of the reasons for the lack of RPM last time I tried running this setup.

So Schematic, Parts List?

I already have the wiring diagram that details the connections in and out
of the board.

Thanks in advance.

Keeping an electric car charged in the valley just got easier.

DC Solar has added mobile EV-charging stations to town. They can charge one
or two vehicles at a time depending on the model. They are powered by solar
panels attached to each station, and there is a biodiesel generator on each
unit for backup power.

Motorists can charge vehicles for free, as the units pay for themselves.

“The approach is similar to YouTube’s advertising model, which provides free
videos courtesy of sponsored content,” said Jeff Carpoff, DC Solar chief
executive officer.

DC Solar considered various factors before choosing its initial 20 station
locations in Southern Nevada.

“Availability of physical space and proper exposure to the sun are the first
considerations,” Carpoff said. “Beyond that, customer needs determine
location. We do our best to place the units outside of existing parking
spots.”

Las Vegas is one of 10 cities in which DC Solar introduced its EV-charging
units. Other units are in Arizona, California, Ohio, Florida and North
Carolina. DC Solar plans to add 200 additional charging stations around Las
Vegas next year.

“DC Solar’s goal is to encourage EV use by offering the necessary charging
infrastructure, and to work closely with businesses of all sizes to find the
most effective strategies to deliver clients and customers the service they
need,” Carpoff said.

Tata, which will have the Tigor in its electric car supply, is also believed
to be testing the new Nano electric.

Tata Motors, which is readying the electric version of its compact sedan
Tigor to supply to Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a venture set
up by the Ministry of Power, may also roll out the model for the private
buyers if there is a demand.

Tata procured the tender for the electric vehicles by beating all the other
bidders including Mahindra and Nissan and expects to fulfil the order in two
phases. The first batch of 500 EVs is expected to be delivered in November
2017 and another 9,500 electric vehicles in the second phase. The tender
from Energy Efficiency Services Limited is said to be the world's largest
single electric vehicle procurement. Tata Motors quoted the lowest price of
Rs 10.16 lakh exclusive of GST in its competitive bidding.

Tata will make the electric version of its compact sedan —Tigor — at the
company's Sanand plant. The Sanand plant of Tata, which has an annual
capacity of making 2.5 lakh units, currently rolls out the hatchback Tiago,
entry-level Nano and Tigor.

Tata, which will have the Tigor in its electric car supply, is also believed
to be testing the new Nano electric in India. The latest is that the small
car with an electric motor at the heart will be unveiled by Prime Minister
Narendra Modi in New Delhi on November 28.

The Nano electric is rumoured to be for the fleet market before being
extended to the passenger car segment. The Nano electric is expected to have
a range of close to 150km and a top speed of 135kmph. The Nano is also
expected to get the same motor as the upcoming Tigor electric version.

Tata's wholly-owned UK-based subsidiary — Tata Motors European Technical
Centre (TMETC), had recently showcased Tiago EV concept.

Renault has been mulling with the idea of launching a cheap electric car in
China [
http://www.carscoops.com/2016/10/renault-plans-affordable-ev-for-china.html
] for a few years, and it's finally happening.

Speaking to Autonews [
http://www.autonews.com/article/20171120/OEM08/171129995/ghosn-determined-bring-three-companies-closer
], the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance CEO, Carlos Ghosn, confirmed an
electric version of the Kwid, admitting that prototypes have already been
built.

"In China, we can't sell the Leaf [
http://www.carscoops.com/2017/09/nismo-could-have-its-way-with-nissan.html
]. Too expensive and too sophisticated. We can't sell the Renault Fluence [
http://www.carscoops.com/2010/04/renault-reveals-production-versions-of.html
]. Too expensive. What sells in China? Low-cost electric cars", said Ghosn.
"So we are putting engineers from the alliance to develop a low-cost Kwid EV
for China. I just test drove the car in China. It will be a very well
engineered car at a very low cost."

Renault's head honcho didn’t give any insights into the launch date, power,
range or pricing of the Kwid [
http://www.carscoops.com/2016/05/renault-responds-to-kwids-0-star-rating.html
] EV, but admitted that it will eventually make its way into emerging
markets. "Once it works in China, there's no reason you're not going to
export the car to India, to Brazil, to the Middle East."

Carlos Ghosn is looking at the Alliance as a whole when it comes to
developing future products [
http://www.carscoops.com/2017/10/dacia-might-tap-into-ev-market-with.html
], especially electric vehicles, which will eventually help them achieve
their objectives: mass marketing and profitability.

"In the beginning, it was Renault going by itself, because they were
prototypes, and we didn’t know exactly where we were going. The Nissan Leaf
had its own technology. The Renault Zoe [
http://www.carscoops.com/2017/08/renaults-mad-zoe-e-sport-is-460hp.html
] has its own technology. Mitsubishi started with its own technology. But
now we're saying: one platform, one set of batteries, one set of motors",
Ghosn added.

Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi isn’t the only automotive giant that sees China as
a market with a huge potential when it comes to affordable EVs, as
Volkswagen has a similar approach. However, the Germans won't use their own
brands to breach into this segment, as they have reportedly signed a
memorandum of understanding [
http://www.carscoops.com/2016/10/vw-to-produce-low-cost-ev-with-jac-for.html
] with Jianghuai Automobile Co. (JAC) to develop a cheap EV.

Viet Nam’s first electric vehicle quick charger system opened on Monday in
the central city of Da Nang.

Financed by the Central Power Corporation (CPC), the system was manufactured
in Japan, allowing battery charging to maximum capacity in just half an
hour.

CPC, under the Viet Nam Electricity Group said the system was built to
enhance ‘green’ vehicle use in the city. Each charger system will cost
VND700 million (US$31,000).

Tran Dung, director of the corporation’s Central Power Electronic
Measurement Equipment Manufacturing Centre said he hoped that more systems
for battery operated vehicles will open across the city.

On the same day, CPC also put two electric cars into operation. Each
Mitsubishi-brand car costs more than VND1 billion ($44,000).

Additionally, CPC inaugurated its head-office rooftop solar power system
using Mitsubishi solar power cells, part of promoting renewable energy in
the city.

It said the sun power system will supply 108Kwh each day – 10 per cent of
energy use at the office building.

The Da Nang-based corporation also plans to work with Japanese firm
Mitsubishi in production of battery-powered cars.

The central city has licensed 20 battery-powered and solar powered cars to
serve tourists since 2012. — VNS
