[EVDL] Charging station density
For those of you living in rural USA or other hinterland where there is no public charger within range of your EV, don't be jealous of the coastal areas where you can actually find a handful of chargers within reach - because I was shocked (pun unintended) to see the density of charging locations in for example The Netherlands, where it is impossible to be more than a few miles away from several public chargers at all times. Just one largish city like Amsterdam is home to 4,045 public charging locations - totally amazing. I was already suspecting a high density when I noticed that in the sleepy suburb where some of my family resides, there were several public charging locations put in next to parking stations along strip malls and such, as well as noticing a regular office building complex getting more and more plug in poles next to more and more of the existing parking spaces, as well as seeing them being used all the time... Thanks Bill for the advise. I live in Northern Minnesota near the North Dakota border. There is no one close to me or any shops that can install Lithiums, believe me I have tried. The Crown Lead acid setup has worked for me for 9 years as long as I am meticulous with my battery maintenance. I would love to have lithiums installed but I am technically compromised and no one nearby to help. [EVDL] Zivan charger setting with new pack
Hello members, My Crown 225 deep cycle pack(18-6v batteries)) that runs a 108v ford escort finally needs replacing after 9 years. I will replace the pack with Crown 205 amp hours batteries, same manufacturer but less amp hours. Do I need to send my zivan charger to the company to change the settings to accommodate the lower amp hours of the pack? I am hoping not to ship the charger to Zivan given some negative reviews regarding turn around times. Witnesses reported the vehicle fire at 1:11 p.m. on the southbound Orange
Freeway.
DIAMOND BAR, CA -- An electric vehicle caught fire on the side of the Orange
(57) Freeway south of Diamond Bar Saturday, touching off a one-acre brush
fire that was quickly extinguished, authorities said.
Witnesses reported the vehicle fire at 1:11 p.m. on the southbound Orange
Freeway south of Brea Canyon Road, the California Highway Patrol said. The
vehicle, which was completely destroyed, was described as a black and blue
BMW electric car.
Los Angeles County firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 1:13 p.m.,
Dispatch Supervisor Melanie Flores said. Brea and Orange County Fire
Authority firefighters and an OCFA helicopter also responded, the OCFA said.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 2:34 p.m. for the No. 4 and No. 5 lanes on the
57 Freeway.
The flames were out at 1:46 p.m., Flores said. Mop-up operations were
underway.
