I agree that solar only vehicles don't make sense. But, solar assisted BEV
"hybrids" that can charge from either the solar panels on the vehicle while in
use or another source at night might be something to pursue.

We have a used 2013 Leaf I bought for my son to drive to and from college about
50 miles per day and like it a lot for the last 35k miles, paid $9.2k a couple
years old at the time with only 1K miles on it. As far as I know it's the ONLY
vehicle that a battery capacity or "honesty" gauge
