I kept mine "lightly" compressed after I took them out of the pack during storage. (I just used the metal plates and rods/screws from the pack to do this...didn't measure exactly 1." each...but tightened things down.) I *think* Cor is right...but it's not too hard to keep them compressed

I am finally getting around to disassembling the Leaf pack I picked up this summer. I understand the cells need to be held compressed while charging/discharging. My question is: Do the cells removed from a pack and allowed to "sit around" need to be mounted and compressed?
