The car was first introduced at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, where we learned that it's powered by a very small electric motor, producing 24 HP and 82 Nm (60 lb-ft) of torque. It also has a (very) limited top speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) and a driving range of 120 km (74 miles), which actually isn't bad for city driving, especially if you charge it every day. Seeing the E200 on the street, parked between a Buick and a VW Bora, really puts things into perspective. It's clearly small enough to rival the Smart Fortwo and its interior has a little bit of a Tesla vibe to it. It's also very comparable to the recently-launched Baojun E100, which has more power, less torque, a higher top speed, yet less electric range. Thanks to its electric powertrain, we reckon this is one Chinese city car people wouldn't mind owning, regardless of where they live.
