at http://linux-club.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=120967 (sorry, German
only) two users, including myself, have reported problems with long
delays of the boot process related to the recent update of
systemd-sysvinit
systemd-32bit
systemd
on openSUSE 13.1 from version 208-35.1 to 210-40.1
(For me this happened on Sat. Feb. 6. 2016.)
/var/log/boot.log and systemd-analyze blame show that the boot process
hangs for ~30 secs on a core-i7 machine with message
"A start job is running for Network Manager"
before finally entering the login window.
(Shutting down the machine also frequently fails with only runlevel 1
reached)
At present a 'fix' is to downgrade systemd from 210-40.1 back to 208-35.1
One of the machines (mine) on which this happens is a lenovo T440s with
