Crap happens and then you die. How's that for an agenda ? That's why Christians pray and both love and fear God (reverence). Which was Leibniz's motivation for optimisticallhy surmising that although crap must happen because the world must be contingent (because it is a world of facts (Aristotle), not necessary reason (Plato)), a good God (which God is) would (ought to) create the the best possible world. That is, facts or "is" (Aristotle) aiming for necessary reason, certainty) Plato, thus "ought".
