Probably because camel enforces valid mailbox formats when it writes
data. So if the mail includes 8 bit data, it has to write it with an 8
bit header.

Hi Mark,
Here's what I've got for imlib and gdk-pixbuf:
imlib-1.9.10-474
imlib-config-1.9.10-474
gdk-pixbuf-0.20.0-1.ximian.1
I seem to have a more recent version of gdk-pixbug than evo is currently compiled against.
rpm -V on libpng / imlib / gdk-pixbuf does not return any errors.

I figured out the answer to this problem.
Red Carpet pulled in a sendmail update. This new sendmail runs as two
proceses, sendmail and sm-client. Evolution could previously send mail
using local sendmail. Now it must use SMTP on the localhost which is a
strange/scary concept to old UNIX folks.
I've tried with both local images and copying and pasting images from the web and/or other applications and get the same result.
I'll go ahead and do that...
As far as the copying and pasting of text, the problem is more so when I copy and paste some text from a website. It seems to embed th

It seems like people have asked this every single day
I am running RedHat 8 and Evolution 1.2.0 and when I click on a link,
Galeon opens. I would prefere to have the Pheonix webbrowser found in
/opt/phoenix/
Any help would be appreciated.

Upon further examination, yeah, I get a white box if I have an inline
image that's a link to a file on a web server rather than to a local
file (which is what I tried initially). You may want to file a bug on
that; I couldn't find one.
What exactly is the copy & paste problem?

I've tried running killev and still have the same effect.

I haven't tried it since I switched my server to IMAP, but with POP3 it
never worked very well, as long as I had my mail client set to
peridocally download mail automatically.
Perhaps if you only download mail when you're notified that there is a
new message, it would work OK.
But for those of us

I recently upgraded from Evolution 1.03 to version 1.2. Everything went smooth using Red Carpet by all appearances. Before the upgrade, I was able to embed images into my outgoing emails. After the upgrade, when I attempt to embed an image I just get a empty box. Also, whenever I cut and pa

I have tried with .OGG and .WAV files.

Hi all,
I have problems with ISO 8859-2 characters (Serbian Latin). I can type
them in email messages, but I cannot use them in the rest of the app.
For example I cannot enter contact using this characters. I try to type
them but nothing happens. I use Red Hat 8, KDE and Evolution 1.2.
Thanks
