I also agree. I posted something like this some weeks ago. I use evo
on both a local account and a remote imap one through a zebedee tunnel.
The auto check keeps timing out on the delay it takes for the tunnel to
reestablish, or gets tied up when the bandwidth (modem connection) is
very tight.
Hi, the new signature dialog is great (in 1.1.0.99 - CVS), but after
playing around I have a number of unnamed signatures in the selection
and cannot figure out how to delete them. Gan someone point me in the
right direction!

Hi can someone post the details of how to do a backtrace? I get a crash

caused, but whilst I fixed this system, there's still something wrong

I have just built latest cvs (yesterday) on two systems and now cannot

How can I wind the downloaded cvs back to a version a week ago which
worked fine so I can fault find this (and read my mail!) as I have been

I have had another reoccurence of a very anoying problem - after an X

Some time ago I sent an email asking how you could tell what cvs version

This reminds me, the only discussion I have seen about syncing between

Perhaps what is needed here is a faq listing both required packages,
known problems (like the packages needing upgrade on Mandrake) and a
simple data flow chart for for the spellcheck process to enable some

overly complex and

One hassle I have is trying to work out what version of cvs evo is
running on which machine. The title bar says 1.0.0.99 and help/about is

What is the status for anon cvs. If I want the latest, should I use the

Will you be going back to HEAD for the bleeding edge stuff?

Same here, Mandrake 8.1 and no spellcheck. I noted that a previous
respondent has spell-utils installed, so I added that and still no
luck. Are there any diagnostics one can run to see what evo thinks it
is doing re spellcheck?

Evo also doesnt play nicely with mail notification applets: it seems to
hog the conmnection so they cannot update correctly when evo is
running. Maybe if evo comes with a better appplet that fixes these and
the secure imap problem?

Hi,
about the time evo went to beta 14.99, my cvs built version stopped
seeing some of my imap mailboxes and I cannot get it to recognise them.
Outlook from a remote machine sees them fine, and evo can see all my
mailboxes on another imap server (a sun), but the ones on my home
machine have

I would also agree with this. I am using Evolution with imap and can
compare it with both netscape and the same version of Evolution on
another machine using /var/spool/mail/user. Netscape moves a file to
trash when deleted. This allows one to use trash as a backup mailbox
without cluttering

I am having problems with deleted items of imap mail. I can delete them
