I agree with you: Evolution rocks! If I could have done the above with
Evolution, I would have.

Printing specific tasks is already available. Open the task as if to
edit it, and a print button is available on the task's toolbar. Printing
the entire task list is something I look forward to in a future release.

current stable release fixed this? If not, is this bug scheduled to be
fixed in a particular future release?
