Red Hat 7.2.
Why on earth would balsa, among a few other apps, be listed as a
necessary removal to install Ximian desktop?
Is Ximian trying to dictate what app to use? I currently feel there are

Are you trying to install from CD? That won't work since the CDs
predate RH7.2. You need to install off the network. Go to
www.ximian.com and click the Download button on the top right.

the UserAgent header that lynx sends wasn't coded for.

A different mirror site.. not all the mirrors sites have updated or haven't

No, that's not it. It doesn't care what's in the UserAgent header. It's
just a shell script.
No, I've looked at the installer and the
Does anyone who installed Red Hat 7.2 still have their contacts? I can't
see any even though my contacts db hasn't changed since before the
upgrade. Also, I keep getting 'too many open files' dialogs when first
starting evo.
I did a clean install of RH 7.2 and then upgraded to XG 1.4.
Thanks,

I'm about to install redhat 7.2, and I'm wondering if anybody has been
able to install evolution (or, indeed Ximian Gnome) under the betas;
will the 7.1 RPM:s work if I remove the original Gnome rpm:s?
Barring that, what kind of time frame is there for a redhat 7.2 version?

FWIW, (1) I think someone is drafting a response to Hemos's typically
uninformed 'more tested' 'news' at the moment and (2) barring serious
issues, we'll have 7.2 support on the servers and in the installer this
afternoon. I've been using it myself for about two weeks (we're on their
