On Solaris, we used gconftool2 --makefile-install-rule to update the schema files. But it also dumps this core. If I log out and log in again, it works. [Evolution-hackers] Does evolution source still contains GPLv2 code?
Hi From the 2.24 tar package and svn trunk, I can still find the COPYING file which says that it is "GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE v2". But from NEWS, it says "Evolution source code license changed to LGPLv2 & LGPLV3 (Sankar P)". Sankar, I'm curious about whether evolution still contains GPLv2 code. [Evolution-hackers] Too many open files for folders.db
Hi "evolution" process shows a large and growing number of file descriptors open on a small number of "folders.db" files; once there are over 255 open file descriptors (the default limit) new operations seeking to open a file descriptor fail and evolution stops working. Whenever you click a folder, the folders.db will be opened once. So if you run Evolution for a while, you will find dozens of file handles of folders.db. Is this a bug? or is it expected behavior? In Solairs, the default open file limit is 256, while in Linux is 1024, so the error is easily produced in Solaris. Can Evolution share the same file handle to folders.db? or can the handle be closed if you switch to a new folder? [Evolution-hackers] Evolution 2.24 can't connect to IMAP servers on Solaris

Since Evolution was upgraded from 2.22 to 2.23.1, it can't connect to
IMAP or POP3 servers in 'No encryption' mode. But If you run Evolution
2.22 in GNOME 2.23, the issue will go away. This means it is not the
platform reason.
After some investigation, I know that errno is not correct after making
a call to "connect",

[Evolution-hackers] A multithread problem
Hi,all
I found an implict multithread problem. I want to see
whether anybody could give me more information about it.
In function message-list.c:mail_regen_list,
a new message is created and put into a thread queue,
meanwhile, the message is also prepended to a regen list of the message
list.
But, the regen list is not protected by a mutex which maybe lead to a
severe problem because
it will be changed in thread function "regen_list_free" and
"regen_list_regened",

[Evolution-hackers] IMAP Mails in trash may be expunged after you use thunderbird
Hi,all Harry and I find that if you delete a mail in INBOX folder by ThunderBird, all mails in trash folder in Evolution will be removed. This comes from the difference of implementation of both products. When you delete a mail, evolution marks the mail "Deleted" flag, while thunderBird will mark the mail "Deleted" and copy one to a real folder "Trash", then expunge the folder which the deleted mail is in. Therefore, those mails marked as "Deleted" in that folder will also be removed. You can't find them again. The result is YOU LOST mails in the trash folder of evolution. [Evolution-hackers] Evolution cann't work with SpamAssassin 3.0
Hi,all I installed SpamAssassin 3.0 and I found some options of sa-learn, such as 'rebuild' has been deprecated by SpamAssassin 3.0. Does it means that evolution can't work with SpamAssassin 3.0 now?
