the 2.24 tar package and svn trunk, I can still find the COPYING
file which says that it is GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE v2. But from
NEWS, it says Evolution source code license changed to LGPLv2 LGPLV3
(Sankar P).
Sankar, I'm curious about whether evolution still contains GPLv2 code
, should be able to get the data from the db
itself. This also provides additional benefits like creating/updating
search indices when the machine is idle, instead of choking the
applications when they are running, etc.
My 0.2 EUROes ;-)

(the Evolution team) have got other
priorities driven based on actual customer deployment needs. These are
the most important things that Evolution (and indirectly Camel also)
should address to become a stable enterprise-level GNOME app.

If all you need is just a non-deleting draft, you can use Edit as new
message. I have felt that this shouldn't be restricted to Sent-items
alone as we allow configurable sent-folders. IIRC, there is a bug for
this as well.
Srini: Shall we make this available on all folders ?

Any pointers would be appreciated.
At the moment, there is no direct way of doing it; as bonobo_main (ui) is
called after the plugins are loaded.

I stopped working on it because of personal reasons. If someone is
interested can take up and complete.
You'll have to write ui pieces for this too, in Evolution, of course.
