I had this problem a while back... resolved it by deleting my default
keyring and rebooting (remember the days when it was only Windows 95
that had to be rebooted to resolve problems) :-)

Specifically:

 Launch System -> Administration -> Keyring Manager....

 (as needed, press "Allow Once" or "Allow Always, your choice)

 Press F9 to view Key Rings.....

 Highlight the "default" keyring, click on the red-X on the toolbar.

 Close everything, logout, restart  (YMMV)
