[Evolution] Evolution 3.32.1-2 solves problems with prior version used with Ubuntu 18.10
Ubuntu 19.04 was just released. It comes with Evolution 3.32.1-2. This new version of Evolution solves "string" errors with some mail servers as well as a send error with another. You can see it in Edit->Preferences->Mail Accounts too. > When I click on it, it reveals no contents. This is odd. The listing you gave suggests it's a maildir structure, thus what really had been in ~/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/. You mentioned a power failure, maybe the account is not set properly. You can create a new mail account of type "Maildir-format mail directories" and point it to this backup, which should show you the files again. If not, then delete the folders.db file from that folder (or rather more it away) and start evolution, which will recreate it. I do not know why you've been asked for the migration, that might be some fault on the disk or something. The content of the "..maildir++" file in there is important. A similar file should be seen in the ~/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/. Hi, there are no additional options for the command line. From within UI, you can use keys like "" then find and select the (next) file, then "", which will move you to the destination folder, which is derived from the Mail view, in case of the mail import. Then just "" and that's it. The Alt+XXX works in the en_US locale. Your locale can have different mnemonics set. You did not mention what kind of files you are trying to import. Being it mails, I'd probably copy them to one directory on the disk, then create a new Mail Account of type "Standard Unix mbox spool directory", or "Maildir-format mail directories", or "MH-format mail directories" (depending of the format of the files in that folder), which will provide you with all those messages in a new account, which you can move or copy in batches to the folders you'd like to have them in. I suggest to copy the files in a new directory to have backup of those old, just in case something would went wrong.
