Hi,
reproducibility is crucial. Without it bugs like this one are not that
useful. A weird thing is that you see it only with a single mail
provider. That could mean there's something fishy with the provider
itself, not with the libcamel code (but that sounds even more odd).

Hi,
if you mean to write to the manual a note about a workaround, then I'd
rather not do that. A better option would be to not restrict the
Junk/NotJunk buttons on the selected messages flags - enough to disable
the Junk button in the Junk folder. I'll appreciate a bug report filled
in the Evolution bug tracker:

Thanks and bye,

Hi,

my point is, that nowadays https://github.com/ZaWertun/gtk3-nocsd does
help, but soon or later Evolution likely migrates to gtk4 and then
there's no workaround to get rid of it. OTOH I'm not quite sure if it
will solve all issues mentioned by the OP. Tool bars tend to use
ambiguous icons, whatever icon theme is used and text is only provided
for a few tool bar options, several options only show an icon. To me it
sounds like the OP is facing several issues, not only the CSD thingy.
Maybe I misunderstood the OP's request.

Ralf

It's called "client side decorations" - "CSD". Like everything to do
with interface design and changes in general, it seems to be a bit
divisive to some people.

I'm curious. Do you read the menu and interface text each time to
decide what to press on or do you sort of just know what you need to
press with only a quick glance at the text?

To me, the "shape" of what is there is the most important - I don't
really care if it is a glyph made up of a "cutsie" icon or a series of
strokes that look like one or more letters. Either way one learns what
the glyph does. I suppose it depends on how your mind is constructed.
(I used to be able to work with Chinese Windows - I don't know Chinese,
but I knew where all the menu items should be and what the icons look
like!)

And if you consider your icon set to be "cutsie", change the icon set
to something that more matches your sensibilities.

That's off-topic (as Evolution doesn't use GTK version 4).
And it's also misleading when it comes to GTK 4 "icons".

Please move off-topic stuff to forums instead.

You wait for 3.46.1 and upgrade once it's released:

Hi,

I don't use a desktop environment, but just a plain window manager named
openbox. To get rid of gtk3 client side decoration on an up to date Arch
Linux rolling release, I'm using https://github.com/ZaWertun/gtk3-nocsd
git version r82.512c2bd. It works without causing any trouble. However,
it doesn't help with gtk4 applications. To use a gtk4 application you
need to be able to read, since icons for min/max/close are dropped and
replaced by a right click menu with text only. There's no title at all
anymore. IOW gtk4 is a design disaster and Evolution soon or later
migrates to gtk4, too. While gtk3-nocsd usually works without issues on
Ubuntu flavours, I don't know if it is helpful for apps installed by a
flatpak.

Evolution 3.46.0 (flathub) on Zorin 15.3

How do i get the previous interface back? Can't find a setting that's
relevant.
I'm not talking about preferences for composinig mail.. i'm talking
about the interface ribbon at the top (titled mail, includes the
min/mac/close buttons) that is now arrows and road signs that used to
be text..

changing the interface text to icons has severely hampered my
productivity.. i didn't become literate only to have to deal with
cutsie graphics like an illiterate toddler..

Keep in touch..

I'd vote for that. In fact it wouldn't appear to be hard to do. If
Evolution sees that the replied-to message has the appropriate list
headers, it could simply turn Reply-To-All into Reply-To-List, or just
disable Reply-To-All. Diehards could still add recipients to the To:
line manually if they wanted to, but I'd bet that almost no-one would
do this without strong reason.

There would still be some Reply-To-All posts from other MUAs,
particularly from web mailers (I'm looking at you, Gmail), but it would
reduce the annoyance level somewhat.
