Since I'm not familiar with grsync, I can't guess. However a
straightforward copy with "rsync -a" would have copied the entire home
directory. The rsync man page has several examples to guide you.

Makes me wonder what else I've missed, especially as many of these
things are not mentioned in the Help.

I'd missed it too. I think the problem is that when new features appear
in Evolution we often don't notice them unless there's a specific
announcement.
