Ahh, now it works in my Inbox. I had missed that I had enable Pics in Prefs
first.
But adding a someone with Pics into my Contacs does NOT show a Pic in the
Contacs address book.

Yes, saw that :) Now in cc list for that bug.

Lets hope it is there ... :)

Hi,
as it is in 3.28.0, the photos are shown only as images of recipients
in the message preview, which can be enabled/disabled in Edit-
>Preferences->Mail Preferences->Headers tab at the top. These are not
assigned to the contacts from GAL or when auto-completed. Regular
address books have shown photos for the contacts when they are
available, because it works differently there. The second bug I gave
you a link to is still opened, it's awaiting its fix.

Hmm, in that case maybe it's there, only evolution-ews doesn't use it
and evolution doesn't know how to work with it. It requires more
investigation of the EWS protocol to know for sure.

No, it was impl. in 3.27

I looked in my Inbox, in my contacs, I searched contacs and GAL. I am sure
where I am supposed to find the Pics, if then exists.

hmm, GAL is not working yet then.
oh, and this is on a O365 server, not exchange.

Seems like the EWS protocol is lacking vital bits.
I can do recover using the Web I/F(http://portal.office365.com/) though.

Hi,
no, I do not think so. Did it work in 3.26.x?

> Where should I find these pics?

And where did you look, please? Whether contacts have shown their
pictures depends on the server which provides those contacts. In case
of EWS the GAL (Global Address List) doesn't provide those pictures
automatically, more can be seen here:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=792411
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=792653

I agree, but there is not stored the information about the original
message location. The EWS server provides Deleted Items as a real
folder with special meaning. Other providers, like IMAP, with non-real
Trash can undelete the message, because it's only about flags on the
message itself. The only feasible option for the real Trash (and EWS
Deleted Items) is Inbox for the undelete operation.
