That's odd. There is no spinning circle at all. But i can see that the address book is filling up (~20 contacts every ~10 seconds). > > The GAL also supports downloading photos of the contacts. If you have filled correct OAB URL in Edit->Preferences->Mail Accounts->->Edit->Receiving Email tab, then in the Receiving Options tab you can set the GAL to be an Offline Address Book (that's the OAB for), which provides more information than the online GAL and it works even without network. The delay can be that it's trying to refresh the book data under the hood, which can block other operations. Once the refresh is done, the new requests are processed in a timely manner. The GAL can show a spinning circle beside its name, indication that it's doing something. Hovering a mouse above it shows a tooltip with the details information about what it is doing. The GAL also supports downloading photos of the contacts. You can disable it in the GAL book Properties (context menu option above the GAL in the Contacts view). [Evolution] search in GAL contacts
Hi, i am using evolution 3.44.4 with evolution-ews on Fedora 36. For a few months now, the address book has been behaving strangely and unfortunately I can't say when it all started: 1. With a cold start of the computer and start of Evolution, GAL shows all contacts correctly. 2. search for a contact "Foo" by "in any field" 3. all contacts vanish and it says: "Search for contacts ..." ... I can wait Minutes but nothing happens 4. After removing the entry in the Search field, the message "Search for contacts ..." stays the same for about ~20 seconds 5. Afterwards all addresses are displayed again and i can go to step 2 with the same outcome. 6. After about 5-10 minutes everything is fine and i can use the search field as expected. I can also reproduce this problem when I switch to the company VPN (the Exchange servers are accessible from both networks (internal & external) via the same URL.) What can I do to describe the problem in more detail? thanks Helge ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
