So you're saying that if you select a cell, the data will be re-sorted with the column of the active cell being the primary (or only?) sort field? should be simple enough using a selection_change event. use target.column to get the column number for the sort. you would also want to check to see

Keep in mind that Excel isn't storing a date. If it finds a string that it INTERPRETS as a date, then it calculates the number of days between 1/1/1900 and this date and stores the number. Excel can then DISPLAY the number as a date. If the string isn't in a proper date format, then Excel
