Try =SUMIFS (not SUMIF, but SUMIFS) the plural means multiple conditions!!! the function Wizard makes it very easy to use. But your formula becomes: =SUMIFS(B2:B6,A2:A6,7/2/2009,B2:B6,8) Sums B2-B6, if A2-A6 is 7/2/2009 and if B2-B6 is 8. hope this helps. Paul
