Product Certification Engineer
Lake Forest CA

Job Description:
* Support Product Certification group in all activities associated with testing 
and certification of Customer product to the EMC and Safety requirements of 
medical standards.
* Provide assistant for EMC and Safety testing of Customer product in Customer 
lab.
* Obtain and maintain certification of Customer surgical consoles against EMC 
and safety standards through evaluation, testing and working with outside labs 
and safety agencies.
* Ensure requirements of EMC and Safety standards are met for product 
development process.
* Communicate periodic status and known risks (with proposed solutions) on the 
projects.
* Ensures the safety, reliability, and cleaning of the Customer EMC and Safety 
labs and all its equipment.
* Maintain and update as necessary lab equipment, calibration and testing 
capabilities (in EMC & Safety labs) to satisfy the current internal and 
external (audit) requirements.
i. Maintain equipment calibration and verification.
ii. Update EMC/EMI software of test equipment.
iii. Perform validation of test software.
iv. Maintain EMC/Safety test equipment calibration list.
* Prepare test reports and maintain all required Customer documentation 
associated with product development process.
* Achieve all managerial and administrative obligations in keeping with SIR&D 
and corporate policies, procedures and expectations.
Primary Skills
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
* 2-5 years of experience with testing and evaluation of electronic equipment. 
Familiarity with medical standards.
* Experience with authoring and reviewing technical documentation.
* Familiar of IEC 60601-1 series of medical standards.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Secondary Skills
Demonstrated initiative; results oriented; willingness and ability to institute 
change
Ability to communicate effectively in multi-discipline environment, and cross 
cultures and level of organization
Proficient verbal and written communication skills; including experience in 
writing and presentation skills
Any specific industry experience
Medical
Education
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
* 2-5 years of experience with testing and evaluation of electronic equipment.
