Looking over some documentation, it appears I need to install Exchange 2000
on the server currently providing OWA 5.5 and configure it to run as a
Front-End server.

Yes, you can run 5.5 OWA against an E2K server. You can't however install
only the OWA component for E2K, there is no 'only OWA component' for E2K.

message was sent ? I have logged in as the user who sent the message and

The FE Server looks fairly straight forward to setup. If anybody has any
tips/pitfalls to share, I would greatly appreciate it.

The only experience I have with them is telling people they suck after they

This was the problem. The Hpdat driver did not load properly, and the
