Has anyone had any success in using a csv file to create a DL for contacts in a public folder?

Has anyone had any success in using a csv file to create a DL for contacts in a public folder? We have a 'contacts' public folder with 670 contacts. I have a csv list of which contacts should go in which Distribution List. I can create the DL manually, but is there a way to import the DL? I
