I was intending on using IPSec for traffic from the front-end server
back to the LAN. This is how we run the MIS server currently. Keeps
open ports to a minimum.

We are proposing citrix full desktop, OWA for some remote users, no
POP/smtp access for end users.
The Webshield I mentioned is as you say, part of TVD.
