AutoDL Upgrade

2003-06-25 Thread Hutchins, Mike
Ok, so I am a little confused now...

In the AutoDL 2.1 upgrade it says:

Next, run the install program that came with this readme file.
This will install the files needed to create the website, COM+
application, and services. It will also have the scripts
needed to upgrade the existing AutoDL 2.0 database

Yet, there isn't an install program.

Any thoughts?

Mike

Does anyone have a good document on how to install the product? I've

The AutoDL setup and installation doc (I think it's titled The Ultimate

anywhere and as you all can tell it has been taken off of Microsoft's

read that! Anyone have this laying around? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

RE: AutoDL

2002-11-13 Thread Harmon, Michelle M.
I got a brief response about AutoDL, but haven't gotten any useful
documentation or anything of that nature.

Does anyone have a good document on how to install the product? I've
followed the instructions given on this list in the past few weeks to
try to make it work but haven't met with success yet.

Any contributions will be met with eternal gratitude and a beer on me
the next time you're in Houston. :)

Does anyone use the AutoDL utility that ships with Exchange2K? There
have been very few responses to recent questions concerning the
configuration of AutoDL, and I'm just curious if it's because no one
uses it. The instructions aren't very clear, at least for those of us
(like me) that don't have much experience with SQL or IIS.

Thanks in advance!

RE: AutoDL

2002-11-13 Thread Tom Meunier
I'll have to check when I get to work (and of course I'll forget) but
something tells me I read a bit about it in Jim McBee's
_Exchange_2000_24seven_. If not, there's something useful in the pile
of papers that helps my desk remain firmly rooted to the floor. My
second guess being that I saw it in Outlook Exchange Administrator
newsletter within the last several months.

It's hell getting old.

RE: AutoDL

2002-11-11 Thread Ken Cornetet
I've got a Perl CGI program that lets users manage DLs they own (and have
permissions to). It's fairly simple, really, it just lets them add and
delete users from a DL, and change the OOF to sender flag as well.

It's yours if you want it...

For those that are wondering why, our user domain is in mixed mode, so we
had to migrate our DLs to another (native) domain because we use DLs
extensively for granting access to mailboxes and calendars. Outlook can't
change DL membership in such a scenario, since outlook talks to GCs, and GCs
have read-only copies of group (DL) membership for foreign domains.
