Do not install a file level AV product on an Exchange server.
If this box is ONLY serving Exchange, you have no reason for it.
Run the AV runs into your IS or your Logs, chances

Norton antivirus for exchange works great.. Don't install the server version
that just scan files.

What version? I wouldn't run the file scanner, or NAV for NT, or
whatever you call it; but I use NAV for MS Exchange here, and it's
worked like a champ.
NAV for NT is for file servers and workstations, not for database
servers. If you insist on running it, exclude the Exchange directories

Are you serving anything else from this box other than Exchange? If not,
don't do it. You wont like what happens.
You should however make sure you have an Exchange AV package installed.
