I've used this method several times, even for a quick disaster recovery.
As long as the directory is OK, it will work fine.

in the mailboxes. I have been using mailbox manager but I have not found out
how to remove future appointments from the calendar. Also meeting requests
You could literally delete the priv.edb file.
That will delete all the data, and when you restart Exch, it will create a
new empty one.

Am I to assume that you can no longer clean the entire contents of a
mailbox
through System Manager?
Is there a way to completely clean a mailbox in Ex2K?
