You might also go to the Deleted Items folder, delete everything in it, then
go to Tools, recover Deleted Items. Click on that and you might be
surprised how much deleted mail is still lurking on the server. Delete all
the deleted again from that screen. Has helped here a number of times.

Check in Outlook, under the Tools menu, look for Recover deleted items.
Recover them and then delete those as well. May resolve your problem.
