It depends on what you mean by connect. To put them in the same
organization, there is no supported way. To link public folders and
possibly free-busy data, you can try the Interorg tool. To share a common
directory, there are a couple of methods, including the Compaq LDAP
Directory Synchronization Utility, Microsoft Metadirectory Server or
SimpleSync.

Subject: Exchange 5.5 in a mixed environment.

Hi all,

We have two companies that are merging. Both have their own Domain and
Exchange Organizations.
One is running Exchange 2000 and Windows 2000.
The second is running Exchange 5.5 on a Windows NT 4.0 Domain. They cannot
upgrade their Domain and Exchange systems.

The main office is running Exchange 2000 and host the Domain name.

Is there any way to connect Exchange 5.5 which runs in a different Domain
and Organization to join the Exchange 2000 Organization? Without
re-installing of course.

Are there any limitations if we do so?
For example will all contacts be available in the address book?

Need some advice....

Best Regards,

Michel Fayad
