What changed? Somebody did SOMETHING on that server. Based on what information you've provided here, it sounds like someone dcpromo'ed the server, all the way except for the final reboot. Your event log should give you more information if you go back far enough. From: Elijah Buck

So, with that not working - I finally just bit the bullet and reseeded all 9 databases from mbx1 to mbx2. And, it now seems to be working fine. I am guessing that the index service was getting caught up on one of the databases. I was getting some 107 errors in the event log. All is well. I
