Folks, I'm going to pick up the Release Engineer hat for the next Exim release. The last few releases have been fairly big and ambitious and a few of us think that a stabilization release is called for.
Jeremy and Heiko have a fix for the DKIM/chunking issues in soak-testing now, it'll go in soon. I expect to start the RC process on Monday 30th January. This will be a strict RC series with no new features after RC1 is cut unless critical to fixing known bugs. New features might still go in before then, but please don't rush things in! I'll probably branch git for 4.89 and let folks continue to commit to master and merge in anything relevant for the release. I'll look at Bugzilla a fair bit next week to try to triage issues; for anything that's a feature, it will be punted to 4.90 at the earliest. If you are tracking dev and know what's in git master already, and think that there's an open issue which hasn't been fixed but should be before the next release, then please reply off-list to me with ticket numbers and explanation. Thanks, -Phil
