[expert] /proc/kcore - getting big

I was looking at my file system and noticed that the /proc/kcore file was getting pretty big and taking up alot of space. What can I do to get the size down and won't blowup my machine? Can I delete it then touch the file? I was also a little curious what the file is for. Best regards, Andrew
