It's a safer bet to uninstall the codeweavers version first, then install the
new version. If you are going to change providers, you may also see a
different set of paths for installation so that if you leave the previous
version on your system you may end up with a mishmash of libs, etc.

This is odd! I did a new install of Mandrake 8.0, finally finished
re-installing most of my software (kylix, StarOffice, m68k-elf tools,
etc). I now find that kermit creates an empty /var/lock/LCK..ttyS0
file, it is zero length. Another program, one I wrote and run under
Mandrake 7.2,

Have you tried adding the name and IP to /etc/hosts? For that matter, have
you tried running your ssh connect command in verbose mode? If so, run it
again, and post the output here.

Guys I have this problem:
When I run ssh to log in as a user (regular user), i found this,
# ssh xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
You have no controlling tty. Cannot read passphrase.
Then ssh exits without any other message.
But, if i run in as root, ssh runs well.
Please help me solve this problem.
