Yes, it IS a hog. Worse than any of the crap MS released (well.. WinME
is worse.. barely).

I installed LM 9.0 on my Asus XG-DLS server board. Install was successful,

I have lastest BIOS installed. 8.3 runs fine on this machine before. Does

Hello.
I am running Mandrake 9.0 with the supplied KDE rpms (kde-3.0.3 and
notice a tendency for kde to spawn all sorts of kdeinit: kicker
processes from time to time. Killing them poses no problem, but I have
to kill -9 them. I noticed this particularly when operating knode over
the weekend and d

Change to root and see if the password entries in /etc/passwd /etc/group
/etc/shadow and /etc/shadow- have the same uid. Sometimes this gets
messed up or an entry is ommitted in one of the files. Be careful about
your security while messing with this.

This is a total stab in the dark, but maybe GPM is messing you up. Try
turning it off in /etc/sysconfig/mouse by setting the line wheel=yes to
wheel=no and restarting X.
If that works, why yes, I'm a genius. If not, I didn't think it would work
anyway but it was worth a shot :)

It does not appear as if my XF86Config-4 file is the problem. There was
no real difference between your snippets and my config. I even dug up a
backup copy I made not long ago when the wheel was working properly, and
there was no change in wheel behavior. What else governs mouse wheel
behavior?
I recently purchased the board listed above, and fully expected to have
problems with it. I was not disappointed. =)

Hello Gwenole,
Thanks for the reply.
Could deps be created so that the dictionarys are installed and then
configured automatically? This would save time for all users.
Still the dictionary needs to be switched on internally in OO, I do not
know a work around for that one yet.

Shouldn't that be uid=.* ? It's a regex, not a file glob.

Hi,
The dictionarys for OO are not in the mdk distribution. Is there a
reason for this? They should be installed for all the locales selected
during the install process I beleive.
Currently I have to setup OOodi to download and install english
dictionarys, North american english is the only di
