[expert] ximian connector for exchange

Has anyone used the ximian connector for exchange? If so how was it? At the office I am so close to switching over to Linux, but the connection to exchange is the last thing stopping me. I would prefer not to buy a connector license. Does anyone know of another solution? Thanks Dan Want
