[expert] Mozilla 0.9.7 question

Hi, Is there any way to tell mozilla not to unzip a tar.gz file when downloading (save link as) ? I try edit preferences and helper application file type but it doesn;t show any hint, just two file types there and not the tar.gz one, why mozilla always runs helper to extract and save and the
