I haven't noticed much trouble with java. I'm not that experienced with it, but I'm using some java on my own web page and it seems to work just fine. I'm using Netscape 4.72 128bit (Mandrake RPMS). You can get it from: ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/Linux/distributions/mandrake-crypto/RPMS Make sure to get both the 'common' and 'communicator' packages (you don't need the 'navigator' package).
